Daily Digest
Lektr sends you a daily email with highlights due for review — powered by the same FSRS spaced repetition algorithm used in the review interface.
What You Receive
Each digest includes:
- 5 highlights selected by FSRS priority (due → unreviewed → random)
- Stats bar showing how many are due and your total library count
- One-click review button that takes you straight to the app
Configuring Your Digest
You can customize your digest in Settings → Notifications:
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled | On / Off | On |
| Frequency | Daily, Weekdays only, Weekly (Monday) | Daily |
| Delivery time | Any hour (0–23), in your timezone | 8:00 AM |
| Timezone | Any IANA timezone | UTC |
tip
Set your timezone to match your morning routine. The digest works best when it arrives with your coffee ☕
How Scheduling Works
Unlike a simple server-time cron, Lektr delivers digests at your preferred hour in your timezone:
- A server in UTC delivers an 8 AM digest to a
America/New_Yorkuser at 8 AM ET (1 PM UTC) - A duplicate prevention window ensures you never get two digests within 20 hours
Frequency Options
| Frequency | Days |
|---|---|
| Daily | Every day |
| Weekdays | Monday through Friday |
| Weekly | Monday only |
Disabling the Digest
Toggle the digest off in Settings → Notifications, or use the "Manage digest preferences" link at the bottom of any digest email.
